D.I.Y Keychain Chapstick holder

Hello all! I’m in love with the holidays and I’ve been feeling so inspired and creative lately. So for the month of December I decided to challenge myself to do as many D.I.Y projects as I can. Hopefully I can do 31 D.I.Y projects for each day of December..Every D.I.Y project I do will be super affordable and easy to make. These are complete beginner projects so even mine wont be perfect.

Key chain Chap Stick Holder. COST TO MAKE: FREE

I always like to have some sort of moisturizer for my lips so this D.I.Y is PERFECT!

My current favorite lip balm is by HEMPZ. It’s so moisturizing! It’s enriched with 100% Pure Natural Hemp Seed Oil and is Gluten-Free, 100% Vegan, and THC-free. You can purchase it here : Ultra Moisturizing Herbal Lip Balm

You can cut it how ever long you want just make sure to leave and inch or two on both ends for when it’s time to fold it. You’ll see…Fold fabric the long way with right sides together. Don’t forget to back stitch at both ends for extra strength.”Press it down” means to iron it . I used scissors to help me turn it right side out.

READ CAREFULLY… you are going to fold the fabric .5 inch twice and press it down both times. Next you are going to sew close to the edge like pictured above because this is where the key ring is going to go. I actually sewed it wrong and had to use a seam ripper to remove it. Don’t be like me, be better lol.. I did this on the other side as well for a cleaner look except I folded it really small and sewed it—I actually put my lip balm on the fabric to see how much I wanted to fold it. I also back stitched both sides for extra reinforcement. Put the Key ring on and attach to your keys and DONE!
